Leicestershire County Council renews CMS contract with ACT

19 November 2013

Leicestershire County Council has awarded ACT a three year contract to supply and support their Customer Management System (CMS).

The CMS by ACT provides Leicestershire County Council with a single interface to manage and issue concessionary cards and maintain card holder information.

Importantly, the CMS includes an established interface with Leicestershire’s CRM system, which is their central system for managing services and communications with their residents. The interface provides a direct link to the CMS, ensuring customer data remains completely up to date in both systems.

The three 3 year contract, which has an additional two year extension option, will help to simplify the management of concessionary travel cards for Leicestershire residents.

The new contract sees the continuation of the existing straightforward, reliable and efficient card renewal process, which is convenient for residents and helps reduce the administration associated with several hundred concessionary pass renewals per month.  ACT will also continue to provide the local card production service for all new card applications.

Phil Brecknell, Business Support Manager, Leicestershire County Council said, ”We have been working with ACT for five years and following our recent procurement process, we now look forward to continuing to work with them in the future, as well as exploring possible ways to improve the application and renewal process even further.”
