ACT has been awarded a place on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) G-Cloud framework to make its HOPS and CMS Cloud Services available for purchase through the G-Cloud digital online store.

Launched in 2012 as a way for public-sector bodies to acquire commodity services online, the G-Cloud framework contains a pre-approved list of suppliers that offer cloud and other digital services through an online portal. The new G-Cloud format is the result of government’s commitment to making it simpler for public sector organisations to procure ICT cloud services.

G-Cloud can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.

ACT’s cloud platform processes more than one billion digital transactions a year and is used by public sector organisations and transit operators all over the UK. A proven leader in the design, build and management of smart transaction systems, the company has developed its cloud architecture to support the growing demand for smart ticketing schemes across the country.

Gary Watts, ACT CEO commented: “Over the past few years ACT has seen a rise in demand for its ticketing services delivered as SaaS (Software as a Service) over the cloud, so I’m delighted to make the ACT HOPS and CMS services available for purchase via the G-Cloud Digital Marketplace.”
