ACT, a Fujitsu company, has been awarded a five-year contract to supply its new smart-ticketing platform to support Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) progressive smart-ticketing programme.
GCC procured ACT’s proven smart-ticketing solution (HOPS
, and Commercial and Concessionary Portals) to deliver three key work streams.
- concessionary travel management
- smart home to school travel cards
- smart commercial ticketing
This solution will be delivered through Actora
, ACT’s modular smart-ticketing environment, which provides 360° visibility and greater control of transport-ticketing operations.
Certified to the latest industry standards, including ITSO and PCI, Actora provides greater passenger insights and enables the effective management of commercial and concessionary ticketing by GCC.
ACT Reimbursement, a tool which enables transport authorities to calculate the reimbursements due to transport operators, based on smart journey records, is also accessible through Actora.
Tom Main, transport operations manager, Gloucestershire County Council, said: “We’re excited to work with ACT and make sure that together we provide Gloucestershire with a cost efficient and reliable service.”
Gary Watts, CEO, ACT added: “We are delighted to be selected by Gloucestershire County Council and to support the Gloucestershire team as they evolve transport services for their citizens. Our latest innovation, Actora, is playing a leading role as we provide the insight our customers need to put their citizens at the heart of service improvements.”
