Accreditations and membership

ITSO certified products

Since ITSO was founded, we've been an active member of the ITSO community. We're represented on the ITSO technical and security committees, and members of our staff have authored ITSO documents and technical strategies.

The HOPS by ACT is only HOPS to have achieved full HOPS certification at every release of the ITSO standard since its inception - with no exceptions. It's the most widely used HOPS in the UK and we are proud of our long heritage of helping transport operators join the world of ITSO.

The HOPS is certified to the latest 2.1.4 ITSO standard.

Retail POST

The Retail POST by ACT is the industry’s first ITSO-certified retail POST. It occupies a crucial space in the market as it allows selling and loading of ITSO products to existing cards.

The Retail POST is certified to the latest 2.1.4 ITSO standard.

Perso POST

The Perso POST by ACT is used to produce and encode new ITSO compliant smart cards on demand, through a direct, secure interface with ACT’s CMS and any supported HOPS service.

The Perso POST is certified to the latest 2.1.4 ITSO standard.

Remote POST

The ACT Remote POST service provides an ITSO POST implementation where the customer media and supporting ISAMs are separated over a secure wide area network compliant to Part 11 of the ITSO specification.

The Remote POST is certified to the latest 2.1.4 ITSO standard.

We have built our reputation on the quality of our products, services and people. To show our commitment to quality we are proud to have achieved certification to ISO 9001:2015 which covering all aspects of the design, build and servicing of smart card systems.

Our commitment to quality is further demonstrated by our adoption of best-practice framework, the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). ITIL is the recognised standard for worldwide excellence in operational support.

Information Security

ACT first achieved certification to ISO 27001:2005 in January 2012 and as a result of its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information and data security, has achieved re-certification to the updated ISO 27001:2013 international security standard.

The standard stipulates the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS) that will preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. It is a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information so that it remains secure.

ACT has integrated the ISMS into the company processes to ensure information security is taken into account at all levels within the organisation.

ACT's company-wide commitment to upholding strong environmental principles is shown through our achievement of the ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification.

ISO 14001 is recognised all over the world as evidence of functional and successful operational environmental protection with a focus on continuous improvement of environmental performance, avoiding negative environmental impacts and conforming with legal requirements.
